Yesterday, I was browsing Ebay.com in search of a good bargain. One never knows what you can find. I stumbled into a 1996 Richie Sambora Signature edition Fender Stratocaster, on sale for app $750,-. A Mexican version, that is. However, since I already have a mexican version of one of these guitars, I have experienced that it plays very well and sounds excellent on my Marshall power amp.
Since the Euro is very strong these days I calculated that if I would make a bid on this guitar, I would be able to buy it for a lower price.
It looks excellent and it has all the features I like on a guitar: Humbucker on the back, 2 single coils on the front and center, including a floyd rose tremolo. After making a bidding, I managed to buy this beauty for 500 euro including shipping and shipping ensurance. Pretty neat, eh? The guitar is in minty condition and has a upgraded pearliod pickguard which really brings this strat to life and sets it apart from a normal strat. Neck is like new, smooth and straight. Pickups sound fanstastic with great tone.
Features:
- Dimarzio PAF Pro Humbucker Pickup
- HSS : Humbucker / Single / Single Coil Pickup Configuration
- Floyd Rose II Tremolo Bridge and tremolo bar – get ready for those dives without loosing tune!
- Rosewood fretboard / Maple neck
- Alder Body
Here are some pictures:
- Black Stratocaster
- Black Strat 2
- Black Strat 3

Here you can find a Wireing Diagram of a mexican Richie Sambora Stratocaster with 3 noiseless pickups (not with the humbucker)
